Cozy Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to Ingrid's folks house to celebrate and exchange gifts. Nelson got his dad these warm socks and got me a great t-shirt that says, "Your Mom is a Ski Instructor" shirt you'll see in a later post.



In Guatemalan culture, during Christmas people make (and exchange with other families) tamales. I enjoyed a few that evening as well as some delicious champurrado, which is a thick chocholate-based drink.



It was great to relax on the couch and spend some time together with the family. I'm sure this is probably the last year we'll actually get presents since next year all the gifts will go to the new addition to the family. Merry Christmas, everyone!
