Karl Takes the Plunge

It was Karl and Yumiko's turn to tie the knot, and we were there to celebrate the event at their wedding reception.

It was the first time we had seen the family since our honeymoon, so we all had plenty to talk about. I wonder who will be next...

The mother of the groom, Aunty Yayo, looked great as she greeted all of us upon arrival.

Once we were given access to the reception area, the drinks started flowing. Apparently, the red wine Ingrid's holding in this picture was quite good and my father enjoyed several glasses over the course of the night.

After taking our seats, the newlyweds entered and lit candles located at the center of each table in the place, symbolizing unity.

Shortly thereafter, the bride and groom gathered for a group picture at our table.

Our table was actually at the rear of the room, but that turned out to be a good thing because our whole table was filled with the loudest people in the place. Everyone was laughing, giggling and having a positively enjoyable time the entire night.

Here's a picture of the lovely bride and groom. Congratulations Karl and Yumiko. Bruce, why are you in so many of the pictures in this post?

Welcome to the club, Karl. It's about time! But it's true that this is the beginning of the end... Muahahahaa!

Speaking of the end, the most interesting thing about this night happened at the end, when my father, who tossed back several glasses of wine, turned green,... and not with envy, but with nausea. Here he is not feeling great as we prepared to leave Granny's house. Good wine can sometimes do that to you, dad.
